This is a tree that can reach 40 meters of height, with yellowish flowers and and a pod with two winged seeds. It occurs especially in Brazil, in the states of Mato Grosso, Rondônia and Acre.

Only the seeds of this species is commercializes at Ver-o-Peso Market. The tree bark and the seeds are regionally used for curative means of headaches, chest pains, anemia and flus. Besides, they are used to perfume clothes.
