Schinus terebinthifolia is native of Tropical America, although it has been introduced in many countries as ornamental, where it became an agressive invasor.
It is indicated in the treatment of arthritis, fever, injuries and rheumatism. It also has the following ethnopharmacological uses: anti-inflammatory, tonic, vulneraria, diuretic, astringent, healing, balsamic and bactericidal.
