Peperomia pellucia
<< Voltar
Small herb of 10 to 15 centimeters of height. It occurs all over America, north, central and south.
It is cultivated as a medicinal herb and is common to humid and occupied areas.
The analgesic properties of the plant seem to be related to its effect over the sintesis of prostaglandin. It has the potential to be a great antibiotic of large range and it can work also as an antifungal.
Although the plant can cause asthma symptons on alergic people, no clinical data have yet been reported to human toxicity.
