Heliotropium indicum is a herb 1 meter tall, commonly known as Indian heliotrope. It is an annual, hirsute plant that is a common weed in waste places and settled areas. It is native to Asia.
In Philippines, the plant is mainly used as a traditional medicine. The extracted juice from the mashed leaves is used in wounds, skin ulcers and boils. It is also used as an eye drops for conjunctivitis.
