Cyperus articulatus
<< Voltar
Two types of this herb are sold at Ver-o-Peso Market: var. articulatus e va. nodosus.
Cyperus articulatus occurs at Tropical and Subtropical America.
Their fibers and rhizomes are often used at handicraft, because of their pleasant smell and for being mold resistent. Actually, it can be related to the antifungal properties of the essential oil.
It is used by the cosmetic industry, and increasingly as a flavoring for food.
