Height of 50 to 90m, coated stem bark of 100 to 180cm in diameter.
The Angelim-Red is typical of the Amazon region, mainly in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Para and Roraima.
The wood of this tree is widely used in construction, on fence posts, pillars, etc.
It blooms in August to October and the fruits ripen in July to August.
