This market was build between 1860 and 1870 and opened in 1908, The Iron Structure was brought from Scotland (Walter MacFarlne & Co), the most important manufacturer of ornamental ironwork in Scotland.
Fish Market
This building was build in 1889 and opened 1901 when the administrator of the State was Antonio Lemos (1843-1913).The Whole structure is all Iron, build during the rubber period when the city was called the "Belle Epoque" .
Solar da Beira
The Solar da Beira used to be the Old Admnistration Office of the City. Nowdays is used for cultural Purpose. There is no Records showing when it was build, but it is believed to be in the 19th century, just after the Fish Market
