Located in the Neighborhood Umarizal, it was named in honor of Mr  Antonio CArlos Gomes, a great Composer and Orchestra Conductor. When LAuro Sodre was the Governor of the State, he was invited to manage the Music Theather that today bears his name. He died in Belém in September 16th 1896. The previous name of this street was Paciencia.
