Located in the Neighborhood Campina, it was named in honorof Mr Manuel de Melo Cardoso Barata. He was a Lawyer a Journalist and Historian. Some of the most important documents about the History of the State of Pará was recovered thru his work as a resercher. Before bearing his name , this Street was called Santa Ana because it lead to the Church of Santana.
