Located in the Neighborhood Campina, it was named to Honor Mr Manuel Teodoro Teixeira. He was a Deputy and later the Governor of the State for a short time, between June 29th and August 7th 1843.The Previous name of this Street was "The Cross and Souls", because the was a Cross and also a safe where people deposited money in order to salve the Souls from the Purgatory.
