Holy Trinity Church
<< Voltar
At the Begining of the 19th Century Mr José Antonio Abranches, a Portuguese man asked the Archbishop Dom Manuel da Silva Carvalho permission to build the church of Holy Trinity. The Bishop told him that the Archdiocese had no money to build the Church and he should look for funding. Mr Abranches went straight to the local house of representatives and after a nice explanation about the construction of the church, he got the support to build it . Local Rich people contributed to build the church. In November 4th, 1804 construction began and 9 years later it was completed.
